The General Assembly of Hotrec convened at the Las Olas Showroom of GF Victoria to reflect on the challenges facing tourism, such as connectivity, sustainability, digitalization, and the Next Generation funds. The event gathered 100 leaders from the tourism industry, representing 46 national associations from 35 countries of the European Union.

Sandra Herrera, Commercial Director of GF Hoteles, and Alberto Hernández, Sous Chef at GF Gran Costa Adeje, participated in the panel discussions organized at GF Victoria and ITER.

“Our colleagues are the ones who carry out all our projects, so their motivation and involvement are key,” highlighted Sandra during her intervention at ITER. She also mentioned some of the chain’s sustainability actions to reduce carbon footprint, such as measuring food waste and collaboration with the Hotel and Extrahotel Association of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Ashotel, and Asaga in the circular economy project. “We work day by day on these projects, without forgetting that certifications are guiding our path,” she added.
