The GF Victoria hotel was a winner in the prestigious World Travel Award and World Luxury Hotel Award in the category ‘Best Eco Hotel in Europe 2020’. The two awards resulted from the votes of the customers themselves and reaffirm the hotel complex’s commitment to sustainability. Its wellness site, Bio-Spa Victoria, was also recognised for the second consecutive year at the World Luxury Spa Awards in the category ‘Best Spa Equipment 2020’.
In the words of Victoria López, president of Grupo Fedola, “these international awards are proof of our many years of work in which sustainable management has been an integral part of the GF Hoteles strategy”. López emphasises that the awards “have symbolic importance at a time when we had to close our doors temporarily due to the pandemic, but at the same time fill us with energy and are proof of the strategy recognised by our guests that we’ll continue to promote as soon as we resume our hospitality activities,” she concludes.
The president of the Canary Islands-based corporation highlights the work of the professionals at Bio-Spa Victoria. “This recognition rewards the efforts of our colleagues in providing professional and personalised service for innovative holistic treatments that renew body, mind and spirit,” emphasises López.
The establishment also ranks as one of the hotels with the ‘Best Service’ in Europe according to the prestigious Condé Nast Johansens 2021, thanks to offering specific services based on the customer’s profile and targeted at every age segment.
Catering and wellness brands remain operational at GF Victoria
The catering and wellness brands located within the hotel complex are continuing their activities to serve the general public. Bio-Spa Victoria, Restaurant Donaire, the modern Zambra SkyBar terrace and the Senza Salón Victoria beauty centre will work “with the enthusiastic desire to offer the best services to everyone who visits us,” adds Victoria López.
GF Victoria is the fifth hotel in the Canary Islands-based GF Hoteles chain and was created with a firm environmental commitment and implements innovative solutions in its accommodation offerings. Its garden roof, awarded Best Sika Work in 2017, showcases intelligent gardening that enables energy savings. 90% of its energy consumption also comes from renewable sources. In 2017, the hotel was awarded in the TSMEDIA category by Re Think Hotel as one of the 10 most sustainable hotels in Spain and in 2019 it obtained ISO 21401 certification for meeting the environmental, social and economic requirements of the sustainability management system for tourist accommodation.
