GF Hotels, a Canarian hotel chain, reopens three of its establishments located in Costa Adeje, Tenerife. GF Victoria, GF Gran Costa Adeje and GF Fañabé resume their activity in the south of the island after a period of closure due to restrictions and the health and economic situation.

The directors of the establishments, together with their whole teams, were in charge of welcoming the first guests to applause. The three re-openings of the chain are a cause for celebration after the reopening of the GF Isabel hotel on March 26th. The GF Noelia hotel in Puerto de la Cruz is scheduled to reopen on September 1.

The reopening of the three establishments coincides with the decision of the Canary Island Government to raise the level of restrictions in Tenerife to level three due to the incidence of Covid-19 on the island. This step does not change the plans of GF Hotels and Grupo Fedola to continue with the activity in the four hotels they have opened. For the president of the Canarian company, Victoria López, this current setback  “is not going to discourage us even though it is a blow to the destination, so we ask that the Canary Island Government corrects this decision and seeks other measures to reduce the effects of the pandemic since it has been shown that the main sources of contagion are not in the hotel industry ”.

‘Traveling for Happiness’ Award

GF Hotels receives the ‘Traveling for Happiness’ award in the leadership category through the Intra-Top project, as one of the best national and international practices in the tourism sector. Sandra Herrera, Manager of GF Fañabé hotel, received this award from Jorge Marichal, president of the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation, CEHAT, and also the Hotel and Extra-hotel Association of Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro, and Ashotel, during the ceremony held in Madrid.

Premio Traveling for Happiness

‘Traveling for Happiness’ recognizes those actions that were carried out in the hotel sector and that stand out in terms of social and environmental commitment during the pandemic.

‘We protect you protect us’

All GF Hotels have a hygienic-sanitary policy under the name of ‘We protect you protect us’ to guarantee everyone’s safety. We work with demanding cleaning and disinfection protocols without sacrificing quality standards, the redistribution of spaces to avoid crowds in common areas, adaptation to food safety, as well as the implementation of new communication channels with customers.
