GF Hoteles receives the Award for Excellence in Human Resources in the Canary Islands

The hotel chain stands out for its well-being, training and internal communication initiatives

GF Hoteles, a hotel chain belonging to Grupo Fedola, has been honoured with the Award for Excellence in Human Resources in the Canary Islands 2024 in the Large Companies category, for promoting a culture of participation through internal communication and for seeking talent through its open day.

Victoria López, president of Grupo Fedola, received the award on behalf of the hotel chain along with Pilar García and Víctor Castro from the Talent Management department of GF Hoteles. “We work under the conviction that in tourism it is as important to make guests happy as it is to make our team happy, and we do so by promoting leadership and internal communication,” highlights López, who is proud “of having people at the centre of management strategy to continue growing”.

The organization has distinguished the commitment and dedication of the hotel chain towards comprehensive human resources management. An excellence that is reflected in initiatives such as the open day We are looking for your talent, in which GF Hoteles brought together more than 150 participants looking for employment in the hotel sector. Other actions that justify the award are the Summer, Christmas and Easter camps for staff and their families, as well as the promotion of online and in-person training, and the internal communication application created for a staff of more than 1,200 people.

The Awards for Excellence in Human Resources of the Canary Islands are awarded to Aguilar Abogados, Adecco, Link Soluciones and Wolters Kluwer, with the participation of Fremap and the collaboration of the Official College of Social Graduates of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the Official College of Social Graduates from Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura. Its objective is to recognize and highlight the best practices, policies and initiatives relating to people management within companies and organizations in the Canary Islands.
