Small apartment, actually a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a kitchenette in a cupboard, but it was clean, maid service very good, reception helpful, very little noise from other guest rooms (corridor carpeted which probably absorbed noise) and lots of hot water. We were unlucky to get a lower floor room with a concrete wall outlook on the indoor sports-centre, but luckily there was no street noise. Kitchen crockery/cutlery is limited, but we had a fridge (turned off at night as noisy) and kettle (although strangely there were no cereal bowls and the staff didn’t seem to know what they were!). We were self-catering, didn’t get to try restaurant (only glanced inside) as there are lots of varied cafes/bars/restaurants only minutes walk away, as well as Hiperdino supermarket with freshly cooked bread/pastries. Loro Parque, with Europe’s No1 rated Killer whale show was 20 minutes walk away. Town centre was 10-20 minutes walk depending which route you took and where you decide that a ‘centre’ actually starts as there are several restaurants etc in all the side streets.
